Coordinated by the CNAREP Sur le Pont, and co-constructed with 9 communes in the La Rochelle urban area, Transhumances littorales is a free, festive, travelling street arts program based on the various events organized by the communes in spring and early summer.
So, in Châtelaillon-Plage, Dompierre-sur-Mer, La Jarne, La Rochelle, Lagord, Nieul-sur-Mer, Périgny, Puilboreau and Salles-sur-Mer, you can explore the variety of street arts. There'll be circus with La Rochelle's Avis de Tempête company, burlesque with Kartoffeln and the new creation by Établissements Lafaille, body-worn puppetry with J'ai Vu Louisa and giant puppetry with L'Homme Debout, street theater with Qualité Street, a release of street artists, a participatory costume ball with the costume designer Des Habits et Vous...
To tie this shared time together, a common thread runs through each stage: bAlllAd. Noise-free public transport that gets noticed, a helmeted stroll, a festival of sounds!
The festival has been criss-crossing the La Rochelle conurbation since May, ending at Châtelaillon-Plage on Wednesday, July 12.

AT 5PM AND 7:30PM: BALLLAD
Strolling show for the general public. Duration: 40 min.
"We start on time. Right on time. It's the pride of transport companies. Commandant Bertrand reminds us of the usual safety rules, but very quickly his sonic scepter goes haywire. bAlllAd is a public transport that runs on sympathy and good humor. And if bAlllAd doesn't make any noise... it knows how to get noticed. What kind of cruise have the passengers gotten themselves into?
There's only one way to find out... wait for a helmet and join in the fun!
AT 6:30PM: ICY PLAGE, COMPAGNIE KARTOFFELN
Gestural theater for the street. Show for all audiences. Running time: 40 min.
The beach, its rituals, postures and rules of decency so different from those of other public places. Tanning, putting on a swimsuit, parading seduction... all these actions are taken up here in tasty choreography. A bath of freshness, humor and vitality!
