Festival Sorties de Plage, Concert: Alexis Evans

A young singer and guitarist from Bordeaux, Alexis Evans discovered Afro-American music with his father, an English musician. A fan of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and David Bowie, he was just 17 when he won the "Cognac Blues Passions" prize. He then took off for the "International Blues Challenge" in Memphis, Tennessee, where this soul prodigy impressed the American public and the specialized press, who described him as "one of the most exciting additions to the international soul scene"!
Now leading a band that bears his name, he has already signed two albums: Girl Bait in 2016, and I've come a long way three years later. It's his latest album, "Yours Truly", which he wrote and composed himself, that he'll be presenting with class and elegance, in 6TET on the Sorties de Plage stage.
