What to do in Chatelaillon if the weather is not good?

It happens (rarely) that in Chatelaillon, the weather is a bit capricious. If the ocean winds bring with them delicious fish for dinner and nice little waves for us to enjoy on the beach, they also sometimes bring some clouds. So, let’s get out the umbrella and the boots because even on a rainy day, there is always something to do in Chatelaillon-Plage!

It’s raining, don’t panic. We have selected a whole range of activities for you and your little ones to have a great day in Châtellerault.

With the whole tribe

When in Chatelaillon, the weather is not good enough to swim in the sea, we look for a small cocoon to dive into a book.

To find the rare pearl, go to the bookshop of the cat who reads! A comic book for the children, a novel for the parents, at Stéphanie, Jérôme and their faithful feline companion, you will always find what you are looking for!

Another place where we meet to read: the media library, the trunk of Allionis. Here, we forget the rain, for a few hours and we embark on a great adventure!

The whole family has its book in hand, it’s time to find a quiet and warm place. How about settling down for a nice cup of tea? Visit the Compagnie de la Rosa or Chez En apar’thé for an afternoon of reading. You can also taste the delicious pastries and products offered in each of the two stores.

If your tribe is more of a big screen crowd, the Beauséjour cultural hall shows free movies in the afternoon. In the mornings, workshops and activities are organized for children and will allow you to have a morning all to yourself.

Just for parents!

Are the children learning to bake bread or developing their artistic talents during a workshop?

You have a few hours to spare, so make the most of it! Destination the Nuxe thalasso center and spa, La grande terrasse. Let go and relax, the massage jets and heated baths of the thalasso center will do the rest!

Invigorated by this experience at La grande terrasse, you still have some time left before picking up the kids.

Why not try your luck in one of the gaming rooms of the Chatelaillon Casino. With the weather still the same, you can find shelter among the machines and blackjack tables and maybe hit the jackpot!

Our good ideas in the area

Young and old alike can’t stand still? You had planned to run on the beach and swim in the sea but today in Chatelaillon, the weather does not allow it?

While waiting for the Charente Maritime sky to clear up, the whole family can work out in a gym. We share with you our 3 favorites!

The most open: The Peak

The Peak is an adventure park that offers you something to become a real marmoset! Accrobranche, climbing or playful climbing, all activities are done indoors under the benevolent gaze of the cheerful team on site.

What makes The Peak special? Solidarity! The site is entirely accessible to handicapped people or deficient. A very nice initiative to discover.

The most original: Jumpin’Park

Get ready to bounce with this offbeat concept! Here no dry land but dippers everywhere. Basketball-trampoline, dodgeball-trampoline or Fort Boyard version of the beam event, you’re not done having fun! Laughter and sensations guaranteed.

The weather in Chatelaillon leaves something to be desired?

The indoor amusement park Trop Cool welcomes you for an afternoon of games and good humor.

The most family-friendly: Too Cool

On the program: giant slide, obstacle course, multiple mazes, climbing wall and many other surprises! The park also offers all-inclusive birthday packages.

The false good ideas

Seeing the cloudy passages, over the ocean, maybe you thought about going to the aquarium or aquatic center, waiting for the sun to come back?

If these two places are unavoidable, we advise you to reserve them for hot days or good weather in Chatelaillon.

The temperate rooms of the aquarium are an ideal place to cool down in hot weather while the outside of the aquatic center is more pleasant when it is not raining!
